Is Einstein's Theory of Relativity in trouble?

NPR ran a story about experimentation going smoothly on the way to large-scale quantum computing. The idea that you can transmit information without regard to distance is something I can't quite wrap my head around- but the evidence does seem to be sensible.

Special relativity is going to be a tough nut to crack though, just because it's much more intuitive. But hey, perhaps this new push will help relativity itself evolve- in the grand scheme of modern science it's practically a stone-clad monument.
