Domo-kun is the mascot of a TV channel. The channel is Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai (日本放送協会 or NHK)

Yeah I love Domo-kun. I have quite a few pictures of him. But I think this should be in the What's Happening Japan section or whatever it's called. Great mascot though.
