He's here!!!! The Penguins sign Malkin

He may have circled the globe, but Evgeni Malkin is finally where he wants to be – in Pittsburgh.

Malkin, the 2004 second-overall pick, signed his first NHL contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday – a moment he thought about for many years.

Yay! Now we have at least a solid base for our first two lines. We could be a solid team this coming year, I see us either barely missing the playoffs or maybe even going as an 8 seed (but I have doubts that will happen).

Finally we can finally see the best player in the world not playing in the NHL, I am really excited to see him play, and if healthy he should have lots of goals this season. Ovechkin even said that he sees him winning the Calder Trophy next season. I also see that happening. Watch out for the Penguins in a couple of seasons.
