I have this screensaver on my mac that bring up the BBC news RSS feed. It shows the title of the article and a very short summary of it, then something like "Press 1 to view more."

My problem is that when I press 1, it opens the article, but in Safari. Is there a way for this to open in Firefox?

Also, on a side note: Is there a way to get your friends status updates on Facebook as an RSS feed?

I'm assuming you are using a MAC, if so you can change your default browser by following the steps below.

    1. Open Safari (/Applications).
    2. From the Safari menu, choose Preferences.
    3. Click the General button.
    4. Choose a different browser from the Default Web Browser pop-up menu.
Now, when you do a selection from your RSS screensaver, it will use whatever browser you selected. Ciao!

There are some articles out there that discuss how to get your FB status in an RSS feed. I did a search on google and found numerous articles. I tried the one off joshpierce . net entitled "hacking facebook to get your status updates in rss." Ciao!
