PHI signs Hal Gill to 1 year deal with an AAV of $700K.

Good little pick-up for the Flyers at a very good price. Obviously, Gill is very slow, but he brings in experience, he's a great teammate, and he's still a big body presence in front of the net. He's also a decent penalty killer.

I used to refer to him as the weakest 6 foot 7 man on the planet, but his time in MTL really showed me that he is a quality defenseman. This is a great addition for the Flyers, who must now know full well that Pronger will probably never play again.
