Well it was more than just one fight. This was the epic game between Philly and Ottawa. They set records for most penalty minutes ever.

Everytime a faceoff happened a fight broke out. You know it's a wild one when the goalies throw hands.

Oh yes , I remember watching this game and cheering my ass off even though I hated both of those teams. The players from both teams hated each other and it all boiled together and really came off as a huge fight and it will go down as one of the biggest fights in the history of hockey.

That is another of my favourite of all time fights. It was between Canada and the USSR at the world juniors in 87. Despite I never saw the game live I saw it on TV more then once and I can say that it was one of those fights that really add a lot to a rivalry and especially now where these teams seem to be playing each other every year in the World Junior Finals its bitterness can still be seen.

They did? I never knew that. Do you have any info on it? I'd love to see it.

Well those were more brawls than actual single fights:

But the best fights ever were probably Peat vs Stock and Probert vs McSorley. There was another good KO fight between Matt Johnson and Andrew Peters in like 2004 or something.

Oh yeah, and the best brawl ever was still the Red Wings/Avalanche brawl in 97, when Roy and Vernon went at center ice.

I think the best brawl of all time would have to be the one in 97 with the Avs and Wings. Both teams hated each other and that really showed just how bad things can get sometimes if you have a big enough hatred for that team. Single fight I would have to say Probert vs Domi or Domi vs McSorley will always stick out in my mind. I just saw the videos a few days ago on the NHL network and the intensity of those two players is truly amazing.
