Genetics role in education and offspring

    They are saying as a species we are becoming dumber. Our IQ is going down about 0.04 points a decade all because educated people don't have many children. Not a big difference but in a hundred years or so will we be too dumb to make any progress towards cures for disease, space exploration, etc? or will we have turned into a bunch of Neanderthals?

    This article reminded me of the movie Idiocracy.

    Thoughts?

    It stands to reason if it is true, which seems likely, that more intelligent people breed less.

    If this is true then the educated among us need to start having more kids. We don't need to become any dumber than we already are.
