When I cook my favorite thing to make is chicken borscht. I use chicken breasts that I marinade for a few hours in a spicey mix. And I slice all the veggies really thin (except the potatoes) and I fry the chicken a little in sunflower oil before I start. I also only use fresh veggies and tomato paste. I also add thin strips of poblano pepper when I add the cabbage. Then I top each bowl with sour cream and parsley and dill sprigs.
Oh and I always bake homemade sourdough bread rolls before I make it. They are so good with borscht.
And yeah everybody in my family likes my borscht! I make a lot and theres never any leftovers.
