Well I created a new topic called favorite Gangster Movie, now I was wondering who are your favorite gangster characters? Here's a few of mine:

-Tony Montana - SCARFACE
-Michael Corleone - the Godfather Pt. 2
-Vito Corleone - the Godfather
-Tommy Devito - Goodfellas
-Sonny LoSpecchio - A Bronx Tale

Those are just a few that I really like.

How about you guys?

Certified Shitlord
Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) - The Departed

Incredible character, Jack was great for the part.

The Instigator
Henry Hill (Ray Liota) - Goodfellas.
Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) - The Departed.

The scariest - Joe Pesci as "Tommy DeVito" in GoodFellas.

The funniest - Tony Sirico as "Paulie Walnuts" in The Sopranos.

I also really enjoyed Christopher Moltasanti, Silvio Dante and Hnery Hill. The Sopranos and GoodFellas didn't have a bad character in the bunch. The best that mob TV/movies have to offer.

The Godfather Saga
Vito Corleone
Michael Corleone
Santino "Sonny" Corleone

Tony Montana

Tommy DeVito
Henry Hill
James "Jimmy" Conway

Not a gangster movie, nor a gangster character, but special mention needs to go to:

Taxi Driver
Travis Bickle

Not a movie but mentioned already anyway, Tony Soprano and Paulie (The Sopranos).

The Godfather Trilogy, Vito (young and old) Corleone, Michael Corleone and Vincent Mancini.

Analyze This, Paul Vitti and Ben Sobel (basically De Niro and Crystal).

Pulp Fiction, Vincent and Jules.
