I was just wondering if anyone had any favorite directors they knew of. Mine would have to be Stanley Kubric. He directed films such as "The Shining", "2001, A Space Odyssey", "Spartacus" and my favorite film of his, "Full Metal Jacket". Anyone else have someone they admire?
QFA. You took the words right out of my mouth. That and Guy Ritchie is good. Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are great.
My personal favorite is Kevin Smith. For me, his movies have a timeless effect on me. I could watch them over and over again and never get tired of them. He makes his movies for his fans and for the fun of it, which I find respectable.
Fuck. I forgot about Kevin Smith. Clerks is a great series, with the first one, of course, being the best. Not to mention Dogma, which is a horribly blasphemous.
I did like Dogma. That was one of his better films. "Chasing Amy" was another one of his good drama flicks. I actually haven't seen the first "Clerks", I'll have to get on that before I see the second one.
I have to go with Peter Jackson His Lord of The Rings movies were the best and also the "King Kong" I like his action/Drama movies and my second best is Emir Kosturica The Movie called "No Mans Land" won the best forgein movie on Oscars. And also his movie "Black Cat, White Cat" was the best
