Ever Try this (Rep out)

    Occasionally Ill get in the mood to rep out my bench. I do a significant drop from my average weight and do as many in a row as a can only one set.

    I was wondering if anyone else does this?

    For example if my average bench is 180 ill do a standard 135 (2 45s on each side)

    And do as many in a row as I can.

    My highest was 28 in a row at 135 but I average about 23/24.

    Anyone else do this? And if you dont try it out see what you can do and post it here.

    my sister is a personal trainer and she recommends doing this. it's called "failure"

    Yes I've heard of it. I normally don't do it. I just do 4x8 when I do my bench press.

    What your doing is good, reps are good, but don't too many at once. Too many reps at a lower weight can lead to overtraining.

    Pff i hardly do this. Maybe once every 3 weeks tops. I just wanted to see what others were doing.

    It's called 'burnouts'. My friends and I do them on bench occasionally, sometimes on curls too. It burns real good.

    So Corona what have you gotten to and what weight?

    I haven't done them in a long time. But last time I did we did it with just 95 and got around 40-50 I think. God in Heaven those things hurt.

    Ironic I posted this I decided to do one for bench today.

    Got 30 up and wasnt even struggling till 27.

    It has to be because Ive been doing higher reps at bench that was a big jump for me.
