eBay Hit Dropping

Registered Member
Well, there's this banner at the bottom of the page... ;) So, what does it take for there to BE a better competitor for eBay? Why aren't we all just going to these other sites like uBid?

It used to be there were several auction sites to choose from. First Auction sold mostly new stuff, OnSale had older or refurbished technology, and there were a number of smaller sites, like 2J, that were individuals selling just stuff. Many people sold on eBay and other sites, so eBay became the place that had it all. In all honesty, I don't know how anyone could compete with eBay using the same model. It's going to take a different approach, I think.
