I always felt that my dog loved me. She would do more than look into my eyes, when I would hug her she would try to hug me back. She always liked being close to me, she would go to bed when I did and get up when I did. If I didn't do what she was wanting I could see disappointment in her eyes and I would often give in. Yea I think she loved me.According to Hare, oxytocin-- same hormone that helps new mothers bond with their babies-- is released in both dogs and humans when they play, touch, or look into one another's eyes.
