ESPN's Calvin Watkins reports that first-round holdout Michael Crabtree has agreed to renew contract talks with the 49ers.

Crabtree boarded a plane from Tampa to San Francisco on Monday, and his agent will be in town Tuesday. The Niners have until November 17 to get Crabtree under contract; if not he'd be eligible for the 2010 NFL Draft. Crabtree has lost leverage in negotiations because San Francisco is off to a 3-1 start. The Niners almost certainly won't up their longstanding offer.
I think he'll sign a deal...this team is pretty good and he'll add something to that offense and help Shaun Hill out.

Just sign Crabtree...stop being a douche.

He just needs to understand that the Raiders wanted speed over possession. He wasn't a Top 5 pick, period. Brady Quinn didn't bitch like this when he fell to the Browns a few seasons ago.

Crabtree, 49ers agree to 6-years.

After months of holding out, wide receiver Michael Crabtree has agreed to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers, league sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Crabtree will get a six-year deal that he can void to five years if he meets undefined performance clauses, a league source told ESPN's Michael Smith.

The 22-year-old Crabtree is expected to report to the team's training facility Wednesday.

Crabtree and agent Eugene Parker met into the early-morning hours Wednesday with 49ers owner Jed York, general manager Scot McCloughan and Paraag Marathe, vice president of football operations. The two sides had gone almost three weeks without talking.
Finally. This was a smart choice on his part because if he would've waited till next years draft, I could see him falling to the 20's or the the 2nd round.

If I was Singletary I would sit him out for three games to punish him for being such a douche bag and making this whole thing a headache for the orginazation.

But that's just my opinion on the matter.

haha that'll never happen...this is still a business and they need him to win.

I dont expect much from him at the start but after some practices he'll be fine.

He's so far behind now he's not going to be productive for awhile. Judging on how he's been so far, I hope he shows some maturity and learns the playbook inside and out and works to catch up. He needs someone other than his idiotic cousin giving him advice on his career.
