Could you handle being Tiger Woods?

I used Tiger Woods as an example since he's one of the most popular athlete today.

So do you believe you could handle being an athlete like Tiger Woods, or even Muhammad Ali when he was on top of the World. You would have all the success in the World, be known has one of the greatest atheletes on this planet, but it would come with tons and tons of media attention.

Thoughts?

Where is my Queen?
First of all he is an idiot for cheating on his wife like that, I know first hand if you keep on doing what you are doing and you know what you are doing is wrong, it will catch up to you. (and no I didn't cheat...I got hit by a drunk driver while he was drunk and luckily they only arrested him...I got lucky) but it is how you get yourself out of this mess. I personally think that Tiger Woods is doing the right thing by admitting what he did was wrong, trying to protect his now divorced wife and kids. I would have done the same thing. I noticed during his interviews and somebody mentions his wife or ex wife, he doesn't talk down on her and if she wants to speak her mind she will in good time, and that is what he is doing. Also going back to golf doing what he love to do was great. I thought he was going to take a year off, but he came back and played this year which shows that he wants to move forward and not backward. This issue now is now yesterday's news, and I would of done the same exact thing that Tiger Woods would of done if I was in that situation. (Not condoning his actions...I will never do what he did)

But if I was stuck in that situation, I honestly wouldn't know what to do and he took the right approach in my opinion, because he gave limited information and news of the relationship status. I would of hope that I would of done the same thing, and most of the major details of this story is very well hidden and probably stay that way for a while.

I don't know. I wouldn't like getting attention everywhere I go. So many people think celebrities have it made and have nothing to worry about, but I really value my anonymity and freedom. Money and fame sounds nice, but it changes and corrupts people.

I think I could handle it in terms of being a good role model and not give in to the temptations that go along with being a celebrity, like parties and women. I don't think I would be happy though. It's too hard to live a private life.

All the money he has, is that worth sacrificing privacy and happiness? That's a tough call. I'm with Echoes on this, I could handle it, but I doubt I'd be very happy.

The guy buckled under the pressure, simple as that. Your privacy is what you want it to be. Kobe, Jordan, Beckham are all sport stars that have been in the media for some time now, you don't see them screwing half of the pornstars on planet earth to get some relief. Tiger has got issues, he needs help, he couldn't even talk to his wife and let her know the things he has been going through or whatever it is that drove into a sex-craze.

Doesn't... really... answer the question.

..and yeah, I can handle it. The money thing wouldn't be a problem, mainly because I don't like spending it when I have it.

The media part, it would be iffy. I could handle it, but.. I can't say it would be a good thing. If they'd get on my nerves, I feel like I'd be one of those who would go off on them and tell them to get the fuck outta here.

You have no idea what these guys have or haven't done. Kobe did cheat on his wife, and you'd have to be pretty naive to think it was only a one time thing. Jordan and his wife are divorced and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he had a lot of women on the side. And who knows what Beckham has done. So many soccer players have been involved in sex scandals.

Tiger Woods got caught and that's all. I am almost positive that around 70% of the athletes have cheated on their significant other. It's just hard for them to turn them down, especially when you get tons of women throwing themselves at you.

Magic Johnson said that he's slept with over 500 women, the numbers that Wilt stated are probably false, but he's slept with tons of women. Take a look a Brett Favre who sent pictures of his privates to a female reporter. It happens all the time.

Ok....eff no, I couldn't handle being Tiger Woods.
Because, money can't bring you all the happiness in the world, but what Tiger brought to himself was shame, embarrassment, criticism, humiliation, the loss of his family......no, I am pretty sure I couldn't handle having the pressure of all that on my shoulders~
