Okay, I was going to put this in the Tunes section, but the title under this says that stuff about song lyrics goes here.

Anyway, are there any lyrics that use really impressive phrases (for example, metaphors, similies, personification...whatever)?

I was listening to a song by Fort Minor, and I like this:

I really like that description =) And the song is cool to.

You got any good snipits to share?

I don't mean to criticize, but I don't see anything impressive in the writing in that song.

I've never heard "he weighed a uck fifty" before as a description for someone's weight.

And, c'mon, Merc--you're a smart dude. You know that different people get impressed by different things, meaning that this topic is subjective.

And i could say the same about yours from my point of view =)

I'm the hand up mona lisa's dress
I'm the smile on every criminal you'll ever acquit,
I'm the things you've done you'd never admit
Cause one hand is on the bible and the other's in shit.

But right now, your faceless in the crowd
    I'm shouting out loud
The one you counted out of the game
    Oh wow!
Take a good look at me now
Should have never had a doubt
Is that you I hear screamin' my name?

I'm the one you thought that you could erase
But a predator that's faster than the food that it chased,
You fall off the horse you brought to the race
I'll be the one who's flyin' by ya kickin' shit in your face.

Edit- I'd also like to add this from Get Stoned by Hinder

    Not bad for emos.
