Check this out.
John Bonham, anyone?
Sorry, I got no love for the Rush drummer. I don't like their music so I'm going to go with a drummer who I respect and enjoy listening to.
John Bonham was great as well. So was Keith Moon, but I still say Peart is the sickest percusionist I've ever heard.
Man, Rush rocks! How do you not like Rush? Come on!
Band/drummer... whatever... but that video was pretty incredible, must have taken massive amounts of work to make.
You have to metion the drummer from Def Leppard. This guys his a crazy drummer and he only as one of his arms. It's insane how good he his. Might not be the best but he has to be considered in this list because the following statement I just said.
Drummers are all objective; it depends really on the quality of the surrounding music.
Alex van Halen and Lars Ulrich are two of my favorites.
Oh Travis Barker! For sure! He Rox my Sox! He broke his arm though *weep*
I hope it gets better, he use to be part of Blink-182 and BoxCar Racer but now he's part of Plus 44 and some other bands.
Smelly from NOFX also, he is slick and awesome! He's about fourty though! Amazing how you can be so old and still rock!
Let's all pray Travis get's better...
Here's one of Peart playing the same song live. Check out his solo at the end.
Danny Carey of Tool, has got to be the best drummer of most recent memory.
I'd agree that Neil Peart of Rush is the greatest drummer of all time.
