Atlantis ... We Have Liftoff

Registered Member
Well, they finally got the aging Atlantis off the ground in Florida and on its way to the space station ... should still beat the Russkies to the station in time.

I'm glad it finally took off but I don't think I'd want to be on board that floating 30 year old brick. Why oh why are we spending the equivalent of 2 Cassini missions per day in Iraq and ignoring the future of mankind - space????

Trust me, I'm The Doctor.
I like Canadians. They're cute. :p

Anyway, I heard that some debris hit the shuttle on launch and it may need repairs before it returns through the atmosphere.
