Lance Armstrong's collarbone won't change Tour de France plan, says Astana manager Johan Bruyneel - ESPN

So apparently they think he'll be ready in time for the Tour de France. I can't see how it won't throw off his preparation though. At his age his body will take longer to recover than other riders would.

His body will be in good shape, the biggest problem would be lack of competition. He definitely needs to ride the Giro, whether in 1st or in 100th position. :stare:

his body is used to the wear and tear of chemotherapy. He'll be fine, age doesn't matter in his case. Being a a cancer survivor, you'd be surprised how fast he could heal. Let aside the age.

He should retire now, I recon he is pretty devasted.
