Great move by the Ducks here. He's a former shadow of himself, but it's only for one year worth one million. Who knows, maybe he can change his fortunes around playing with Getzlaf and Perry.

The thing is that Heatley will feel no pressure in Anaheim because he'll play behind Getzlaf and Perry. Heatley has always been known for crumbling under the pressure and not performing well when the spotlights are on him. That won't be the case in Anaheim because he's pretty much a supporting actor. I heard a lot of people who wanted him to play in Montreal but that wouldn't have worked at all. He would've asked to be traded by December.

A million for one year? Hell... Prust gets a hell of a lot more than that and if Danny Heatly can finally smell the smelling salt... On a team like Anaheim, they have the tools to address what is ailing Heatly. If Heatly can not have a season that's 50% of his former self on that team... then he will be done after this year.
