Alex Rios has signed a 1 year $11 million deal with the Kansas City Royals. Good signing for KC as they get a solid all-round player. The dollars may be a lot, but the 1 year deal part evens out

MLB Alex Rios to Royals

I agree, very good deal for the Royals. Rios will be thirty-four years old in February, so he still has a few seasons under his belt, and he'll be playing for another two to four years contract when the season is over.
He had an average year last season, but I do believe he can definitely improve on those numbers.
