Would you add a co-worker as your friend on networking sites like facebook, myspace etc?

I would never add one of my co-workers as friends on a networking site. They would read my profile and tell other co-workers about. Plus I know they will print out my picture and post it all over the office. It happened to one of my fellow co-workers.

No, I wouldn't add any of my current co-workers because I don't consider any of them friends. However, If I had a friendship with any of them outside of work, then it wouldn't bother me.

I have a couple of co-workers trying to find me on facebook and myspace. That's kind of creepy. I have an account with both sights but they will never find me though! :D

I think it really depends if I'm actually friendly with them or not, or I can actually see myself becoming friends with them. Generally though, no I would want to keep work and leisure seperate. I wouldn't add them, if they added me then I might accept.

Only my peers I am friends with at the office. I socialize with them outside the office. My coworkers that I am friends with are former interns (who are gone) and 2 other coworkers.

Hell no I am not going to add a supervisor or someone I don't trust.

I would if I had a good relationship with them. I am friends with quite a few of the people I work with now.

I would most likely make a separate account for all of my 'professional' needs and add them on that one to please them. There are way too many stories about info getting out from Facebook for me to take that risk.

It depends on the level of interaction I have with the co worker. If we only talk at worko or about business stuff, then I wouldn't add them. If we have a more personal relationship like often socialise outside the office, then I would add them.

If I actually used the site, then I would probably accept a friend invite from a co-worker no matter what. I wouldn't search them and add them myself though, unless I knew them outside of work too.

I have a general policy not to put things on FB that I don't want people to see. I don't have any problem with someone wanting to be my FB friend.
