Adalot, the advertising town

Aldo

New Member
Hi!
I'm Aldo Tripiciano, and I like to call myself a "web pioneer".

As a result of years of never-ending projects, I finally built Adalot.

Adalot is an isometric online advertisement town, where almost every building, vehicle, creature who populate it are linked to their author's personal advertising pages.

Adalot is going to be an eternal piece of internet, and to become a new reference for online advertisement.

I want Adalot's 3d elements to become symbols for the websites advertising through them. Your shop, your company's building, your car, your dog, your casino... they could become, finally, real.

Adalot is not part of the boring pixel advertising that's bombarding us in those days.
You may want to read my blog's last article (2005-09-28) at http://www.adalot.com/blog.php , or my faq at http://www.adalot.com/faq.php to understand why Adalot REPRESENTS A REAL BONANZA for all kinds of activities.

The investment is cheap, the concept is original and innovative, and the town will really become a symbol of quality and smoothness.

I'm officially inviting You to visit the Adalot homepage, www.adalot.com!

October 1th, 2006, will be Adalot's official inauguration date, and I want to start greatly.

Please, consider that the project was kept secret until last days, to prevent copycats and thieves to waste my work.

Feel free to contact me at this address: [email protected] for any question you could have about the project.

If you don't like the project or don't intend to visit the page, please answer me anyway, as I really care about your feedback and I could think that You didn't receive my mail for some technical problem.

Thank You very much for the attention!

Sincerely,

Aldo Tripiciano

That's a cool idea.. Normally this would count as spaming but it's unique enough that I will let it stay. Feel free to stay a while and post around in our board. Thanks.

I have a couple of questions, for Andrew maybe.... How do I register my company, or furthermore, how this kind of entreprises are paying to IRS? If I create my own Venue, will I at some point be in trouble if the bussiness expands? what is the floor limit of earnings to don't pay taxes? being a lot of these kind of venues, how come IRS monitors internet bussiness? or simple IRS let them go? thanks

Hi Izamora,

I'm going to wade in here again with my two cents worth.

First off, I love your idea of making it a town with buildings versus the pixel thing. Really cool idea, although personally, in the long run, I think you'll have to come up with some pretty innovative ways to get the traffic to the site once the novelty wears off of these pixel-type ad sites. Sorry, but I've worked in web advertising for a while now and have seen a lot of great ideas not get the traffic they deserve ... so I hope it goes very well for you!

Anyway, to maybe help answer some of your questions, as far as I know, the IRS is currently looking for a way to monitor internet business, which is part of the reason they are fighting the U.N. over who actually controls the Internet (but that's a whole other story :shake: , which is puzzling).

Still, if you have significant income off the Internet, the IRS expects you to treat it as income ... self-employed income, since you are working for yourself. Are you based in the U.S.?

Although in truth, a lot does get by the IRS, I can say having working for a tax attorney for about 7 years, I would never mess with the IRS, but then I'm not much of a risk-taker :) If they audit you and you have undeclared income they discover, it can turn into a real nightmare. I've seen some people go through a whole lot more in lawyer's fees fighting the IRS than they ever would have paid in taxes on the money they made.

Sorry to be kind of a downer about this, and it is just my humble opinion, but I believe in being totally up front with the IRS, not because I like it, but because I know the power they have and how they can really mess your life up if you're not paying taxes you should and they catch you. It's not a pretty sight :-/

Wait.. lzamora isn't the same person who started this thread.. It would have been better to make a new thread.. Now this one is confusing..

To keep things organized, please make a new thread with your question and keep this thread for discussing the ad town idea. Thanks.

Hi Aldo,

Sorry to get you confused with another person posting ... wanted to give you proper credit for the website.

I'll reiterate that I think it's a cool idea to have actual buildings instead of the pixel sites that are beginning to proliferate on the internet.

Just my two cents worth, but I'd make as much money as I could off it right now and be prepared for it not to be a long-term money maker. The only reason I say this is that I'm pretty plugged into a lot of advertising techniques on the web and unless you can somehow get a heck of a lot of traffic to your site, it's going to be tough to make a lot.

Do these kind of sites charge the advertiser per click on their building or a set monthly fee typically? I don't mean to pry too much, but how is the deal set up with your's, Aldo? Just curious ... sorry I don't know of anyone who would be interested in actually placing an ad, but told lots of people about it and they thought it was pretty cool too

I visited the web site today again, there is almost nothing new since it was created, but Aldo claims that he is cocking something enormous, maybe in 2008 I might say, I saw hime rise from nowhere, then now he is very famous and rich... Good Luck! ;)

:) thank you very much for feedbacks (and off-topics).

Thanks to the site admin, as well, for keeping this post.

I am not rich at all, most of my advertisers got their buildings for free, and I'm not caring much about it.

The "pixel boom" was with million dollar homepage, I'm not running for someone else's idea.

Mine is intended to be a *real* advertisement town.

It's going to be coupled with parallel projects such as www . directory . io , a directory going to become a migthy search engine (still Alpha, but might like to try it :) that I'm developing without stops.

I'm a building machine, and that's all :). In 2008 I'll own an enormous network, in my best dreams. And the limited amount of Adalot building owners that trusted me will be happy as well.

I'm just another internet pioneer.

And I'm going to keep everything clean and polite :)
