able to track account logins remotely

Is there a program available that will alert you when you log into your account from a different Ip address? For instance, if someone logs into your twitter account (but doesn't submit any information- tweet, direct message, etc), would the program alert you that you are logged in from a suspicious IP address? Same with facebook, myspace, etc. would it be able to alert you and let you know the IP?

I know gmail has that feature. When you log into your account, it will tell you the most recent log-in history, complete with the IP addresses.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
