I usually don't put much stock in the polls, especially in the preseason, but I thought it was interesting how Florida got the highest percentage of 1st place votes in the history of the preseason poll, with 58 of the 60 votes. Texas got the other two.

    1. Florida (58) 0-0 1,498
    2. Texas (2) 0-0 1,424
    3. Oklahoma 0-0 1,370
    4. USC 0-0 1,313
    5. Alabama 0-0 1,156
    6. Ohio State 0-0 1,113
    7. Virginia Tech 0-0 1,054
    8. Mississippi 0-0 1,047
    9. Oklahoma State 0-0 989
    9. Penn State 0-0 989

The rest of the top 25 can be seen here.

After the top 4 it seems like there aren't many really strong teams. I think Bama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State are overrated, but we'll see once the season kicks off. One thing that surprises me is that Illinois is unranked. With Juice Williams and Arrelious Benn they could be dangerous.

I think the Gators will win the National Championship. Their stack from top to bottom, they have a great defense and a great offense. This is Tebow's last year and I believe he'll have his best season as of yet. Which is saying a lot because he's already had brilliant season.

But with that being said, I couldn't believe they got 58 votes.
