The student/mentor relationship of Luke and Obi-Wan works so perfectly in this Calvin and Hobbes homage piece that you’ll find yourself wishing that the entire storyline existed in this style as a massive comic book. Forget the Family Guy / Star Wars crossover special,Calvin and Hobbesin a galaxy far, far away would be akin to the merging of peanut butter and jelly.

Calvin and Hobbes and the Super Powerful Ring of Stupendous Power, while seemingly taking a page out of J.R.R. Tolkien’s playbook, is a lot simpler at heart. Mike said this particular piece nearly drew itself after he read the Calvin and Hobbes strip where Hobbes deflects a pop-fly ball from Calvin’s mitt.

What do you do when you have dragons at your command? Command them to cuddle with you in the forest, of course. After that, maybe you’ll head to a town or two and wipe out some evil-doers. Perhaps Daenarys and Suzie would have made a good team if they had existed in the same universe.
